CROSS-STITCHING

There are many ways of tapestry: from most complicated to a very simple stitches. A part of the thread which lays on the surface of the hardanger cloth between two thrusts of needle is called the stitch. The form of stitches will determine the technology of needlework, which you will use.
In cross-stitching the crossed stitches are kept of equal length and usually equal lengths stay in all tapestry work. Using cross-stitching technique simple decorating ornaments for wipers and the pictures can be stitched.
There are many computer programs designed which can prepare schemes for tapestry work by your photograph. The bigger work will demand more patience and time. If you want the needlework to be correct and the stitches lay as brushstrokes, try to work the tapestry equally, in one direction.
